We will always remember this fabulous vacation! We’ve been to many Caribbean islands but we have decided St. John is the best for snorkeling. Each day we visited 2 beaches. They were all different and exciting. Had the best experience when we rented a dingy and spent the day traveling from beach to beach…. The best part of our trip was this BEAUTIFUL villa. Loved waking up to the sun rising on the porch. Loved cocktails on the porch! D loved being “pool boy” each day. The villa is beautifully decorated and welcoming. We hope to return again and again. We had a great vacation on St. John and in La Bella Villa. The villa is so well appointed and the outdoor shower is fabulous!.... The donkeys visited us one night and slept on the gravel driveway. Overall – Great Vacation !! J & E; North Stonington, CT April 2008

There is a Kenny Chesney song that’s titled “All I Want for Christmas is a Really Good Tan”. Well, we agreed so came on down to St. John for Christmas. We didn’t get really good tans – but we had a fantastic time! We love La Bella villa with its wonderful breezes and gorgeous view. It is a perfect place to relax, chill, and have a great time! We spent a lot of time in the water -- snorkeling and scuba diving. The sea life is superior. The young folks stayed at La Bella’s “sister villa” – Calypso del Sol on Chocolate Hole -- and my youngest got engaged on Christmas Day at Hawksnest Beach! Our 2nd visit to La Bella Villa was just as great as our first trip was three years ago. We had our 2 ½ year old with us this time and the house, decks, and pool area were so safe for him. He could play and we could relax. The house, the view, Coral Bay and the beaches were all great – the weather, too! Great vacation. We wish it could have been longer. Thank you so much for your home. La Bella Villa was the perfect house for our vacation. Awesome views and cool breezes. Has a wonderful Caribbean feel. Trunk Bay and Vi’s bay (East End) were our favorite places to snorkel. Another great visit to St. John! Some comments to future calm-seekers: Donkeys will come up around the house at night. Don’t let some of their sounds scare your. When they flop down, you will wake up. There is also one of the biggest iguanas I have ever seen that hung around this week…. Have a great trip. Many thanks for sharing such a beautiful home. It is solidly constructed, beautifully appointed, and well maintained. We were most impressed with the care and craftsmanship that went into this house. This is our 8th visit to St. John and it never gets “old.” We can see why it is “America’s Paradise”! ... The pace of life here near Coral Bay is much more to our taste than the scene on St. Thomas or even in Cruz Bay. It is much more “laid back” and relaxing. We’re sorry to be leaving St John today – back to the final throes of winter in Ohio. This was our second stay at La Bella Villa. It was as wonderful and relaxing as our first – hopefully there will be more to come. There is a lot to see and do here as attested to by all the great descriptions from the visitors who have left memories in this book. But for us and I hope for all who come here, it’s a place to refresh, renew, and remind of us what’s truly important – our health, our good fortune, and our love for each other. You should re-christen this house “Want Not” – it’s so atypical for a rental! Shame on you for spoiling us – we’ll never be able to go back to those nasty little white plastic chairs again. Thanks for maintaining this place in top form. And the CD-stereo is much appreciated especially by us pre-iPod dinosaurs…. Honestly, the Coral Bay side of the Island is much more relaxed and has better snorkeling and reefs…. The hummingbirds and bananaquits visit the trees on the “pool” porch in the a.m. and a sweet little pair of hawks use the top of the telephone pole right in front of the “shade” porch to perch and shop for mice…. Our eldest son got married on Cinnamon Beach on 29th November. La Bella Villa was the perfect place to unwind after the hectic days leading up to the wedding…. The house and its facilities have been great – stunning views of Coral Bay, attention to detail, cool box and beach chairs for lazy days on the beach… Then back to a refreshing dip in the pool before going out to dinner. Our honeymoon in St. John! Thanks so much for a wonderful 10 days. We absolutely love this villa. We’ve had a great time and explored most of the island. Thanks to my new wife for putting up with me while I pretended to be a formula one race car driver on these roads. I was most impressed with the food on the island as well. We did several dives with Low Key and would recommend them. As divers we were excited that we saw as much snorkeling as we did wearing tanks…. We’ve had a wonderful vacation at La Bella Villa! We’re sorry it’s ending so soon…. It’s been the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever taken – great for our 5th anniversary! And to think – probably the only reason we took this trip was for my brother’s wedding on St. Thomas. We’re so glad we decided to stay over here on St. John…. We enjoyed the facilities in the house and cooked in. We spent great days…snorkeling. One day on St. Thomas for the wedding was plenty…. As we prepare for our trip back to Madison, the memories of the last week are making it difficult to leave. It’s been a year since we’ve had a vacation, and what a wonderful place in which to stay! As frequent visitors to St John (this is our 5th trip) we can shift into island mode as soon as the ferry docks. This villa is truly memorable. It is easily the mostly beautifully designed interior we’ve seen here… And that porch..!! We needed more than the one week, because all we did was relax, read, re-visit our favorite beaches, and cook leisurely meals on the grill to be eaten under the stars, soaking in the view.... First of all, thank you for sharing your home with us! … Each day brought excitement and discovery of a new beach and the spectacular beauty of the island. Our days were spent doing exactly what we intended on doing – relaxing on beautiful beaches and spending quiet time together. All we needed was the chairs, cooler and towels you provide – and the Jeep we rented. Dinners on the deck were priceless! Our only dinners out were at Skinny Legs and cocktails with local conversations at Island Blues. Everything in the home was perfect – clean, comfortable, and totally beautiful. What a fabulous week we’ve had at La Bella Villa! We grew more and more relaxed as the week went by (and as we grew more comfortable driving on the “wrong” side of the road!) We are scuba divers and had 3 great days of diving with Low Key Divers from Cruz Bay…. And every restaurant we ate at – from Skinny’s to Aqua Bistro to Rhumb Lines — was yummy. We do have one recommendation for La Bella Villa: you definitely need a jigger or something for measuring the rum for Painkillers, Pina Coladas, etc. Our method may not have been exactly accurate! WOW! This was the best vacation ever! La Bella Villa is gorgeous! We loved the pool, the view. Snorkeling everyday. Trunk Bay was a great start, Waterlemon Cay was so good we went back twice (beautiful reef and turtles). Watch out though --- the mongoose ate our lunch while we snorkeled…. We’ll be back for sure!! We came all the way from Paris to this fabulous home. Stopping through New York on the way, we went from snow storms to the Tropics in less than 5 hours! This has been an unforgettable honeymoon week! Your villa is an absolute slice of heaven and we loved going wherever the day took us…snorkeling and swimming…. But some of the best moments were right here in La Bella Villa. Watching the sunrise over Coral Bay while sipping coffee in the AM…to watching the evening lights around the bay come on while sipping a beer…what a breath-taking view!.... We loved every minute!
